Sponsoring A Habitat Home
Home sponsors provide $75,000 in financial support for each home that Sacramento Habitat for Humanity builds. SHfH does not start the construction of any home without these sponsorships in place. Companies, foundations, churches and other organizations either contribute the full $75,000 sponsorship or we combine amounts from a minimum of $5,000 upward to reach the full $75,000. Home sponsors provide the important “seed money” to start construction while the remaining funds needed to complete our homes are provided by revenues generated by the Sacramento Habitat ReStore, mortgage payments and other ongoing fundraising efforts.
What it takes to sponsor a Home:
Sacramento Habitat for Humanity's board policy requires a minimum of $75,000 seed money to begin the construction of a Habitat home. Full Home sponsorship funds on average equal half the cost to build the home.
